To synchronize our X3-10M and our X3-A4D4 we want to use the X3-Timing Module. Today I wanted to install the board to start working with the module. I am using Windows 7 x64. Unfortunatley I got some error in the device manager:
PCI-to-PCI bridge is marked with the yellow ! and the detailed descriptions says that the device could not be started.
I used msinfo32 to get more information about the problem. That is the result:

I am not familiar with those hardware topics. I tried to reconfigure the Intel-Chip via BIOS but I have not succeeded.
Is this a known issue? Is there a possibility to fix the problem?

| There is no known incompatibility. Try installing the modules individually and in different slots to see if that affects the problem. Please include additional details on the type of Host PC and install the public domain PCI Tree utility to harvest more info on the failure mode. |

We have an AIMB-780QG2 ATX-Mainboard, 8 GB RAM and an Intel i5 Processor. I tried to install the timing-module only but non of the 4 PCI slots worked.
Unfortunatley, I couldn't install PCI Tree, because its not available for x64bit OS. |

| Do these modules enumerate properly in another PC? We have never seen an issue such as the one you describe here. |

Today I installed the timing module in different systems and found out the following:
Using the i5 650 or i5 2500 -> timing module can't be started
Using the i5 760 -> timing module works fine
Unfortunatley I couldn't test all 3 cards at once, because the motherboard is too small. I think problems with i5 650 and i5 2500 are due to the integrated graphics. Do you have any suggestions for a workaround? |

Unfortunately, we are experiencing similar incompatibilities with our with i7 COM modules used in our ePC product under Win7. This COM module uses the CEGM57 (mobile) chipset. The incompatibility seems to manifest only under Win7 - XP seems to work fine. These same XMC modules using different motherboard chipsets on ATX motherboards with Win7 work fine.
We have sent the COM module and some XMC modules to the COM vendor for analysis, but so far there is no resolution. We do not believe this is a problem with our modules, since we have been using them successfully with other COM modules and ATX hosts for years. |

Is there any news on this topic?
We now have a system running with Windows 7 (but with different mainboard and processor). Due to compability we'd like to change the other systems to Windows as well. |

| I have used newer i5 and i7 processors on various motherboards. Usually always ASUS brand and have no trouble with compatibility under windows 7. If you have any trouble getting things to work, please let us know and I can help you through the issue |

| Does that mean the issue described by jhenderson is solved with i5 and i7 processors of the third generation? Are there some aspects I have to pay attention to buying a new processor? |

Today, I did a complete new installation of Windows 7 and installed the Innovative Modules X3-A4D4 and X3-10M as well as the X3-Timing module with the latest stable drivers.

The two I/O modules work fine, but the timing module just appears with a driver failure in my device manager.
Do you have any idea how to solve the problem? |
