| Quote: | I am looking over the Innovative Integration VPX6-COP FPGA VPX board. We have several VPX products in-hand I want to check compatibility prior to purchase decisions.
1. Will this card accept a FMC module from 4DSP. It’s a FMC150 A/D and D/A with a 160 pin LPC connector.
|
Yes.
| Quote: | 2. Our backplane has a VPX profile of BKP3-CEN06-15.2.2. The spec is attached. I want talk over the usage of the module in this backplane.
PCIe x4 Gen2 is the choice for signaling . The backplane maps the P1 connector as follows:
Port A Data Plane PCIex4
Port B Expansion Plane PCIex4
Port C Expansion Plane PCIex4
Port D Control Plane GigaBit E net
The VPX6-COP module maps Port A,B, and C as PCIe and Port D as PCIe/Aurora. What effort Is needed to re-map Aurora to port B and C for usage on my backplane EP?
|
A firmware change is required.
| Quote: | 3. The switch/backplane maps Gigabit Enet to the P1 port D. the VPX6 defines Port D as clocks/triggers.
What effort Is needed to re-map Gigabit Enet UTP to port D for usage on my backplane EP?

The current card revision does not support this. On an upcoming revision, we may be able to accommodate that with a jumper configuration. |
