The X6-400M bsp supports ISE 13.2 with matlab 2010b. I would suggest doing that and if you still see this issue I will try to diagnose it here in the office. There is no need to worry about the name of the compilation that shows up in the system generator window. That is what the name shows up as when you select the 400m hardware co-simulation from the drop down menu.

That error is a known issue with ISE version 13.3 and subsequent releases. The x6-400m BSP supports ISE 13.2 with matlab 2010b. Please try it with this toolset version and let me know if it works for you.

Thank you for the information. I will look into this and report my findings to you. I would like to know if you are running the examples by launching matlab directly or if you are launching sysgen which then launches matlab. If you are launching matlab and then simulink to run the examples, I would suggest you launch system generator from the start menu. This will launch the version of matlab you configured during installation and try running the examples.

I was able to successfully compile the implementation and default example. I was running on the following machine

windows xp service pack 3
ISE 13.2 (30 day evaluation and full license)
matlab 2010b

make sure that you have the latest release r1.06 and I would like to know if you can compile the other examples in x6-400m BSP or not.

I see that you are compiling the hardware cosimulation bit file. Can you run the x6_400m_implement.mdl file and generate the NGC netlist? I just want to see if any of it works on you end. When you are running the setup file, are you running matlab or do you launch sysgen from the start menu? In the screenshot of the environment variables window that you attached, please make the following changes
1. In the user variables section please sest TEMP and TMP to C:\Temp ( you have to have a folder named Temp in your C drive before you do this)
2. In the system variables section please make sure that you have a variable XILINX set. On my machine it is set and its value is C:\Xilinx\13.2\ISE_DS\ISE. I installed xilinx ISE on my machine in the folder C:\Xilinx\13.2 and matlab in the folder C:\Matlab\R2010b

Please feel free to email me at rthakur@innovative-dsp.com with further questions

I see the error that you get when you generate the ngc netlist for the implement example says "Simulink system period must evaluate to a double". To resolve this, please enter Ts=1/200e6 in matlab command window and then try to generate the ngc netlist for the implement example.
