The HSA module was designed for developing new wireless/digital radio systems using advances in analog converters and FPGA devices. With its high-speed, high-resolution and large, reconfigurable logic, the applications are limitless.
Two analog input channels using AD6644 A/D converters provide signal capture on 50ohm impedance with 14-bit resolution at up to 65MSPS, with 7th order on-board anti-alias filtering. Clocking is provided with an AD9852 DDS and 5ppm TCXO. Digital output are buffered in FIFOs within FPGA. Two AD9764 D/A capable of 80MSPS deliver analog signal into smoothing filters and output buffer amp for +/-1V output matched to 50ohm. The Omnibus interface allows 32-bit communication with the host DSP board with sustained data rate of 6-8 MHz.
Firmware source code is provided, implementing peripheral controls, Omnibus interface and demonstrating bi-directional data flow, and is a solid framework for advanced developers using the HSA for hardware-assisted signal processing systems.
